What we access
Location
Stormwell Labs LLC uses your device location to pull local conditions, forecasts, and alerts for your area. Location is used only to fetch the relevant weather data from the National Weather Service. It is not stored or shared with third parties.
Photo library
Stormwell Labs LLC asks for photo access only to save weather images you choose to download, like outlook maps and weather stories. It does not access, view, or upload any existing photos in your library.
Notifications
Notifications alert you to important weather in the locations you choose. The alerts come from National Weather Service data and are delivered straight to your device.
How that information is used
- Location is used only to retrieve weather for your area.
- Photo access is used only when you save a weather image.
- Notifications are sent only for weather in the locations you monitor.
Storage and sharing
- Your location preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Stormwell Labs LLC does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to external servers.
- Your data is never shared with third parties.
- All weather data comes directly from the National Weather Service.
Your control
- Turn off location access in your device settings at any time.
- Revoke photo access in your device settings.
- Turn off notifications in the app or your device settings.
- Clear all app data with the reset option in the app settings.
Children's privacy
Stormwell Labs LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change shows up in the app with a new effective date.
