What leaves your device
Weather and location requests
Depending on the feature and platform, Aeravis may send coordinates or the requested geographic area to the National Weather Service, NOAA and their data partners, Apple Weather and Apple Maps, Open-Meteo, or EPA AirNow.
These services receive your IP address as part of the internet request. Aeravis does not attach your name, email address, account identifier, or a complete list of your saved locations, and we keep no server copy.
You can use Aeravis without granting access to your device's location. Locations you enter manually still need to be sent to the applicable weather service when you request information for them.

Saved locations and settings
Saved locations and settings are stored in Aeravis's local data on your device. Device backups, if enabled, are managed by Apple according to your settings and Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
Notifications are generated on your device. Aeravis checks weather-service data in the background and posts the notification itself. Each check sends the location or geographic area needed for that request, but your saved monitoring list is not uploaded to us.
Photos
Aeravis can save a weather image to your photo library when you ask it to. It does not read or upload photos already in your library.
Crash reports and diagnostics
If you enable sharing with app developers in Apple's Analytics & Improvements settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports, device and app diagnostics, and usage statistics relevant to Aeravis. Apple provides this information in aggregated or otherwise non-personally identifying form.
The outside services Aeravis may contact are governed by their own published privacy policies: the National Weather Service, NOAA, Apple, Open-Meteo, and EPA AirNow. We do not control their retention practices.
Keeping and deleting your data
We store no user data on systems operated by Stormwell Labs, so there is nothing on our end to retain or delete.
On your device:
- Reset in Aeravis settings clears saved locations, preferences, caches, and notification monitoring data.
- Deleting Aeravis removes the data it stored from that device.
Device backups are controlled separately through your Apple settings.
Turning things off
- Location: iOS Settings → Apps → Aeravis → Location
- Photos: iOS Settings → Apps → Aeravis → Photos
- Notifications: Aeravis settings, or iOS Settings → Apps → Aeravis → Notifications
- Crash reports and diagnostics: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers
Children
Aeravis is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Applicability and changes
This policy describes Aeravis's practices for everyone who uses the app on or after August 18, 2026, including people who installed Aeravis before that date. It does not retroactively change how information was handled before that date.
We will post updates to this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will place a prominent notice at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
